SchiZo Rainbow

In 1995 South Africa won the rugby world cup against all odds and giant opposition. The Rainbow nation was born, black and white embrased, Desmond Tutu became the coolest grandpa in the world and white people started loving and revering Nelson Mandela.

At the same time in 1995 the extreme white, right wing was waning and two young affluent brothers with a preacher father had some fun. They hit a 75 year old man with a baseball bat and cut him into pieces, while he was still alive and packed his bodyparts into suitcases. Thus the schizophrenic nature of South Africa has been exposed, not by the almighty black hate and violence as per Euro-Africans (sic sorry Afro-Americans) but firstly by the laughable, white, extremist, wannabe terrorists and then by these two evil siblings.

There is no reason why they did it, nope, they wanted to teach the old man a lesson is the explanation I've read. Maybe church became boring...only quenching their blood-lust.

Now Ricku has been released from jail and is celebrated in the press for being neat and presentable and getting a masters degree in jail. His brother Jano is complaining that he should also be released even though he tried escaping from jail. He also is a model human being, he is even married and conceived a child while in jail with his physio therapist. Pleading not to be judged for their actions when they were young because they are different people now.

In the meantime Engel (Angel in Afrikaans) Bakker is still dead and he died horrifically. I do not know of and cannot find any apology to the family or in general for their actions. They should have been executed but in South Africa a life sentence is typically 15 years. Still, they do not deserve success and they most certainly do not deserve celebrity. It is also too late to apologize, now, which I suspect will be Ricku's next PR move. What they did was too revolting for words and they should spend the rest of their lives atoning seeing as punishment in South Africa isn't sufficient.

Good Christians will be asked by the Bible, their religious father and the boys themselves for forgiveness and that is good for your own personal salvation if you are said Christian..but we should stop celebrating them and they should not get forums and opportunity and press to enrich and promote themselves any further.

We should celebrate Engel Bakker and report on his family's pain and lives since this horrific event.

South Africa is still schizophrenic and beauty, love and hope is still the yin to hate, violence and corruption's yang but we should take our meds and improve our conditions by removing the Nortje's from the public sensibility, unless it is to protect ourselves and our own from what they are.....inside.

People change but do they change from disembodying a 75 year old man, for fun? I can't believe so.
